i2E hosts one to three students in its Oklahoma City and Tulsa offices for 13 week, part-time Fellowships each Spring and Fall semester. Full-time Fellowships lasting 10 weeks are also offered during summers beginning in early June and ending mid-August. The Fellows will work with either i2E’s Investment Team or with its Venture Advisory Services Team on specific, impactful projects. Both part- and full-time Fellowships pay $15 per hour.
Fellows working with i2E’s Investment Team will assist i2E staff making concept and seed stage investments in high-growth, Oklahoma startups. Candidates placed with the Investment Team will need strong backgrounds in finance and financial modeling tools, and will receive direction and mentorship from i2E Vice President of Investment David Thomison and his staff.
Fellows working with i2E’s Venture Advisory Services Team will assist i2E staff providing comprehensive business guidance and coaching to client companies. Projects will primary focus on competitive market research and analysis and business model development. Candidates placed with the Venture Advisory Services Team will need excellent analytical skills and a strong interest and aptitude in entrepreneurship. They will receive direction and mentorship from i2E Vice President of Entrepreneurial Services and i2E’s Venture Advisory staff.
i2E will review applications and invite potential Fellows to interview with the i2E Fellows Program Manager and appropriate Vice Presidents at our Oklahoma City and Tulsa offices. Oklahoma students interested in participated in the i2E Fellows Program should complete the application “here.”
When appropriate, the i2E Fellows Program will offer opportunities for students to be placed with Oklahoma startups. Fellows will be matched with i2E client companies who have pre-defined business-based project. The Program is a 10-week summer fellowship, beginning in early June and running through the first half of August.
i2E will match student applicants with host companies based on the companies’ needs and the students’ skill sets. Finalists will be announced and invited to interview paired companies. Following a successful interview, i2E will extend offers to the candidates and a Memorandum of Agreement will be executed between the company, i2E and the student. Fellowship winners will be announced shortly after.
Prior to their Fellowship, all Fellows must attend a one-day orientation session where they will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement and a tri-party agreement. Part of the orientation will include meeting with the host company and the i2E program manager to discuss the Fellowship projects and work plan.
The host company will manage the statement of work and the student. The i2E Venture Advisors and the i2E Fellows Program Manager will work closely with the company and Fellow throughout the 10-week period.
This is a full-time 10 week project-based position paying a total stipend of $6,000, equivalent to $15/hr.

Memorandum of Agreement
i2E Fellows placed with client companies are considered Independent Contractors of i2E, and are not employees of i2E. As Contractors to i2E, these students will be directed, and expected, to work at the client companies’ location. Therefore, companies are responsible for providing workspace and equipment, as well as any additional expenses incurred during the fellowship period. A tri-party agreement among i2E, the student and the host company will be executed to outline all details, responsibilities and parameters of the Program.
i2E will pay 50 percent of the students’ stipends while the host companies will pay 50 percent. i2E will invoice the company for its share of the stipend in accordance with the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement. As an Independent Contractor, taxes will be the responsibility of the student.
